A class designed to take you out of your head and drop into your body, providing deep nourishment and relaxation with a little energy to carry you through to the weekend.
Join us every Friday at Edwinstowe House for the perfect antidote to a busy working week. Start your weekend in a calm, mindful, focused way with mindful movement yoga.
During this class you will practice a repetitive style of yoga, designed to take you out of your mind and feel into your body. By dropping out the mind and into the body, we calm the nervous system and give our mind a chance to rest! It will be a more dynamic class than the Monday evening class, in that there will be more movement required with a focus on creating heat and energy, rather than 'letting go,' but the end result is the same. You'll leave feeling refreshed, relaxed and ready for whatever the weekend has to throw at you.
You will need:
- Yoga mat (please let me know if you don't have one before class, I will bring a spare)
- Blanket for savasana
- Drinking water
- Anything else you feel you need to be comfortable
This session is suitable for beginners. You will always work with your own body in my classes, so you become aware of your own quirks and limitations of the body. It's what yoga asana is all about :)
